Lesvos is one of the islands covered by the visa-on-arrival scheme. Application timing, documents, fee and the details that catch people out.
Turkish citizens can travel to Lesvos under the visa-on-arrival scheme. The visa is arranged through authorised agents before you travel — it is not something you collect at the port yourself, so the application needs to go in a few days ahead.
What you need
- A passport valid for at least six months
- Application form and biometric photo
- A return ferry ticket
- A visa fee of roughly €80
Scope and validity
The visa is single-entry and valid for a maximum of seven days. It covers only the island you travel to: a Lesvos visa does not let you continue to Athens or another island.
What we handle
On our tours we track the application on your behalf, send the document list and catch gaps early. The visa fee itself is not included in the tour price.
Updated 1 August 2026. Ferry times and visa fees change with the season; we confirm everything before booking.
